  The mission of Seminole Elementary School is to create a child centered environment which encompasses the diversity of a multicultural setting, in partnership with school, home and community. The school fosters critical thinking skills, discipline, high expectations and excellence in all academic areas using state-of-the-art technology at the point of instruction. Through a loving, caring and understanding climate, students will be encouraged to work interdependently to achieve a more just and tolerant society which rejoices in its diversity and unity with focus on academic and personal excellence through research-based instructional programs, expanding current teaching methodologies, organizing available community resources, and planning to meet the needs of the whole child in the 21st Century

MORNING PROCEDURES

All arrival of students to the school by car and bus “drive thru” style will be at the 2nd gate going northbound on 78th Place. School gates will open at 7:30 a.m. for breakfast. For safety reasons, this is the only approved area to drop-off students for morning arrival and no student is allowed to be dropped off on SW 2nd  Street.

Supervision begins at 7:45 a.m. in the cafeteria for grades PK –Grade 1. Students may eat the “free” breakfast at designated tables or go directly to their teacher’s assigned tables to sit with their classmates. Teachers will pick up their students from assigned tables in the cafeteria and take them to class at8:10 am. Students arriving after 8:10 a.m. will be escorted to their classrooms by student patrol members. 

Students in Grades 2-5 may eat the “free” breakfast and return to the shed to line up by classes to wait for their teacher. Teachers will pick up their students from the shed and take them to class at 8:25 am. Students arriving after 8:25 a.m. will be sent directly to their classroom.

Parents wishing to walk their child to school may park along SW 78th  Avenue between Flagler Street and SW 2nd  Street across the Bank of America. The entrance gate is on SW 2nd  Street. There are posted signs of NO Stopping or Standing between 7:30 – 8:30 am. & 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. Adhere to these signs to avoid traffic citations.

 AFTERNOON PROCEDURES

Dismissal in vehicles “drive thru” style will be at the 2nd gate going northbound on 78th  Place.

 Parents wishing to pick up their child may park on 78 Avenue between Flagler Street and SW 2nd  Street by the Bank of America. The entrance gate is on SW 2nd  Street.

 PLEASE NOTE:

Parents, guardians or visitors coming to the school for official business may park in the front of the school on 78th  Place between the hours of 8:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.  There are posted sign of NO Stopping or Standing between 7:30 – 8:30 am. & 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. Adhere to these signs to avoid traffic citations.

Anyone parking at Maki International Corporation on 7870-7892 West Flagler Street will have their vehicle towed by the owner.

LLEGADA A LA ESCUELA

En la manaña, los estudiantes que son dejados en la escuela en carro entrarán estilo “drive thru” será por la segunda entrada hacia el Norte por 78 Place. La cerca abre diariamente a las 7:30 a.m. para el desayuno.

Por razones de seguridad está terminantemente prohibido dejar a los estudiantes en la calle 2 del SW.

La supervisión de los niños en la escuela comienza a las 7:45am en la Cafeteria. Los estudiante de Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten y Primer Grado que lleguen a esta hora, deben entrar a la cafetería y sentarse en las mesas asignadas para cada maestro y desayunar gratis. Los que no deseen desayunar, deberán sentarse  junto a sus compañeros de clase y esperar por el maestro. Los maestros recogerán a sus estudiantes de la cafetería a las 8:10 am y los llevarán a sus respectivas clases. Los estudiantes que lleguen después de las 8:10 am serán escoltados a sus clases por los niños guía.

Los estudiantes de segundo a quinto grado pueden desayunar gratis en la cafetería y regresar a alinearse junto a sus demás compañeros en el área techada de Educación Física (P.E.) y esperar por su maestro. Los maestros recogerán a sus estudiantes y los llevarán a sus clases a las 8:25 am. Los estudiantes que lleguen a la escuela después de las 8:25am deberán ir directamente a sus respectivas clases.

Los padres que deseen caminar con su hijo/a de la escuela, deben estacionar sus vehículos a lo largo de la avenida 78 por el Banco de America, favor de observar las señales de tránsito que estan alrededor de la escuela para evitar multas de tráfico.

SALIDA DE LA ESCUELA

Los estudiantes que son recogidos en carro por sus padres estilo “drive thru” sera por la segunda entrada que da hacia el Norte de 78 Place.

Los padres que deseen caminar a recoger a su hijo/a de la escuela deben estacionar sus vehículos a lo largo de la avenida 78 por el Banco de America, favor de observar las señales de tránsito que estan alrededor de la escuela para evitar multas de tráfico.

FAVOR DE PONER ATENCIÓN:

Los padres, guardianes legales, visitantes y demas personal que acudan a la escuela para registrar estudiantes o hacer algún tramite en la oficina podrán estacionarse en el frente de la escuela en la calle 78 Place entre las horas de 8:45 y 1:30 pm. Favor de observar las señales de tránsito que estan alrededor de la escuela para evitar multas de tráfico .

 Todo vehiculo estacionado en el parqueo de la Compañia Maki International Corporation localizada en 7870-7892 West Flagler Street, sera remolcado con cargo al propietario del vehículo.
